Damn Jim...

The wild fires up that way are a prob., but I wonder about the counter as well.

Some of these units get a "voltage pot malfunction"...

Easily fixed by turning (carefully) the screw back and forth and then back to the exact same location (take a photo with your phone or camera first or mark the original position with a grease pen). I expect it's a dust problem that occurs during manufacture (or later) but can occur at any time throughout the life of the counter.

Did you confirm these reads with another counter?

My 320+ has not been a issue so far but it could happen at any time.

I have the equipment (extra counters) to see the differences.

I hope it's not the wildfires or some other "real world" reading.

Please keep us informed...

Here's another very real (possible solar) explanation...

...could be that you are seeing some natural (electric/CME) rads as well that are not man made (or any real threat to your health).

It is hard to say for sure what the cause is for your elevated readings. More details would be helpful but we greatly appreciate what you have shared already.

Hehehe...

...take a look at it (easy open with a dime) you should only see one and you'll get a good look at the tube...

...just be sure to do it where no dust can get in and this thing is easy to break!!! NO TORQUING REQUIRED!!!

Good to hear from people that want to talk about these things...

...it all good if ya see it that way.

Write me (us all) back...

I looked online this morning for a video or schematic to help you and was astounded at the lack of info on this...

...So i ended up taking a 320+ apart to find it myself.

It appears to be located by the usb port and is marked R-14.

I can't seem to find ANY schematics right now (and don't have any more time today) so don't take this as fact.

Is there anybody out there that can help with this?

Help us out if you can...

If you try this be very gentle and mark the original location prior to moving the screw.

Here's a quick video of a voltage adjustment (different counter), should help you to understand the process...

https://youtu.be/joIuux8gUqw

Notice the blue block? this is the voltage adjustment pot for that particular unit. The 300's seems to be VERY small and metallic...

The manufacture is willing to fix it for free but you'll be without it while they perform the service. Maybe something to think about...

Good luck and let me know what happens.
