Post subject:  Help with testing after a high reading

We are attempting to locate people all across the country that are ready to test for isotopes and will provide this list of testers to (netc.com) GM monitor operators. This will allow us all to know what actual materials (if any) are causing any super high reading.

Ideally we need a network of local folks from all across the country to perform these tests quickly in the event of abnormal results from a GM monitor.

You should be willing to test air filters and other components used in GM monitoring quickly if a abnormal reading appears.

If you are interested in supporting your fellow http://netc.com operators by performing isotope tests from air filters and the units involved in the readings we see on this website, list your contact details here.

Please provide as much or as little contact information you feel is appropriate for our operators to get further results (through isotope identification).

Thank you in advance for your much needed help...

If you receive a high reading from your GM counter feel free to contact me @

rads@lamarsworldmall.com

When testing outdoors using any filter unit, CAREFULLY double bag the entire filter unit and save it for further testing.

NEVER discard any materials involved with your monitor at the time of a higher than normal reading.

I want to point out to anyone interested in this that NETC has nothing to do with setting up the testing mentioned above. The results you will receive from these tests are independent of NETC and may or may not be accurate results.

I apologize and should have included this disclaimer in my original post...

All testing of this type (scintillation) is not affiliated with http://netc.com

Although I would like to see the results posted here, I am in no way inferring any affiliation with netc or or it's partners with these MUCH NEEDED tests.

Thank you for pointing this out KC...

No...

...Referring to the filter unit as the particles trapped in them after a high reading are the danger. If the counter is going crazy, changing the filter only spreads the concentrated, accumulated poisons to the operator and his/her nearby environment. The counter itself should be relativity void of particles compared to the filter and purifier unit as these units (by design) trap and concentrate these materials in a very small area (filter AND UNIT).

When you change the filter or otherwise disturb these purifier units you are in the cross+hairs of toxic particles (of many types) the unit has gathered (therefore concentrating these poisons) during operation.

So if the counter shows a high reading you should take precautions to avoid ANY exposure resulting from handling the filter or purifier unit. ALWAYS use a mask and gloves, change clothes and shower as soon as the service is completed. Otherwise you are exposing yourself to the very things you are trying to avoid.

If a $50 air cleaner is worth more to you than a possible cancer for you or a family member you came into contact with after servicing these rigs, clean it up and use it again. If not, bag it and go for further testing before taking ANY chances.

Have you seen nuclear expert Professor Christopher Busby working with car filters from Japan? I believe your suggestion of junking a $50 air purifier unit every time a high reading is received would be overkill. Maybe wipe it down so previous accumulated particles do not skew the new filter readings.

It is a good idea to use a mask and rubber gloves while testing or bagging the old filter.

I hear ya....

Are you referring to this one?

Even Busby gets careless with these things...

Weigh it out and roll the dice...

Research is money (and time) well spent...

Yes, that video.

He should have at least had a mask on. I think throwing away his equipment would be overkill though.
