Would like to provide station data from my location (I'd be first in this area on map!). Question: For various reasons, I can't be on-line 24/7. E.g., may have to use detector for other tasks; to save electricity and wear and tear on computer, it is put in sleep mode maybe half the time, etc. If netc can process intermittent periods of input, I guess the above would be all right.

Thank you for your interest sir. Are you aware that the free software is already available to you to download and connect your Inspector to NETC? The free Windows NETC software is available here: http://www.netc.com/software/

I know the software was tested to work with the InspectorEXP and I assume it works fine with the Inspector USB model you mentioned that you already have. Some other current users might also have the Inspector USB model might be able to confirm that.

If your interested in using a Raspberry Pi mini computer with custom NETC software instead (like I use) you can eliminate the need of using you Windows computer at all. I prefer using the Raspberry Pi as part of my monitoring system. While the Raspberry Pi system is NOT free, I believe it is the best choice. If interested, please private message the NETC owner Harlan (user "hey") or email him at staff@netc.com

You can also express your interest here and I will have Harlan contact you instead if you wish.

Thanks for response, Cobra. OK, your app started without hitch. Thought I could be on-line more if I used older Monitor 4/4EC from seintl.com. Questions:
1. re MAC ID, your User Management page says I have a Goggle Adsense ID (not presently used), so I just clicked "exit" and nothing happens. Should I "unregister" that?
2. going to the "Location" page, all that shows is a blurred image like clouds or something completely non-descript and it asks to locate site. With this blurry image showing essentially nothing recognizable, I could do nothing here. What to do to set my location: Portsmouth, Commonwealth of Dominica.
Seems my input won't show up without some resolution of above issues.
BTW, I'm the author of HotBasic computer language and compiler (www.hotbasic.org). Maybe I might be able to do something to upgrade your winapp, porting its code to HB which would be more efficient, easily add more features, and almost certainly require less system overhead, a plus for all users.

re my 2 questions above:
1. I "unregistered" the Google Adsense MAC ID and this seemed to unlock the location part.
2. Entered "Dominica" for "address" on location page and that seems to have worked OK as the station now appears on map. So it seems all is well, thanks. Jim

I'm not a programmer but the programmer does read these forum pages from time to time. If you still need any help from the programmer, please post them again.
