Compare my South Beloit Illinois stations weekly graph with St. Charles Illinois. We use the same model geiger counter on an air purifier. We show the same rise and fall in radiation, just different levels. Today is clearly a bad day and I am thankful to have a station like this nearby to verify my stations readings with it.

Huh?

so on Nov 17th the St Charles station read a high of 7298 while the South Beloit station read a high of 40...

Are we talking about the same thing here?

Or are you referring to now that it has been repaired...

I would say he is referring to post repair, his thread is dated 1/2/2014.

I was talking about post repair of St. Charles. Our detections matched each other for times of rise & falls in the past 7 days or so. The total counts are not equal but there do confirm each other for true detections.

Happy NeW yeAr!!!

OK...

...great that you "chimed in" on this post...

This is a very important problem (if there is one) and on this first Sunday of the new year (1-4-2015) I'd like to put my 2 cents worth in...

Here's some free advise [:-

Purchase a outdoor weather station...

...You can purchase a $100 (or so) Wireless/USB unit online delivered to your door that shows both indoor and outdoor readings (humidity, temp, etc...) and post these reads online in "realtime". And "to be sure", wind and rain censors are a must!

Get the program here:

==============

Withdraw???

Keeping yourself and your kids inside is a smart start but what about the other "good people" in your area? How about the food supply? And, most importantly.... How's your drinking and bathing water?

Water IS the GREATEST MOVER of materials on this planet (Grand Canyon?).

Has anyone tested their "tap water"?

We need to test these things as the "treatment plant" may have clean water and great test results...

...but, then the water flows through (possibly) miles of pipe and then into your home plumbing system? Who could possibly know the true exposure except the person at the end of the tap...

...but here I (hehe) go again...

The readings that really "count" are at your house, in your families air, in your families water and in your families food...

The only way to know for sure is to test and if there really is a problem, most any contaminate will show up in ALL these substances (air, water, food)...

===============

Start NOW!!!

Do you have a filtration system for your drinking water?

Reverse Osmosis is the ONLY system that will remove ANY radiation (or heavy metal) to a degree that counts...

...and by the way (and this was my point to begin with) you can test the filters at change time and KNOW if there is a problem.

I know I'm off subject and feel free to copy/paste it elsewhere (credit maybe?) but...

So now what?

1) AND THIS ONE IS #1!!! Purchase a RO filter system and use it for ALL cooking and drinking water. The alternative is to use distilled water as this is the ONLY form of water that contains NO contaminates and is in fact "pure water"!!!

Any filtration is better than none!!!

My RO drinking water system shows 2+PPM and my home (supply water) shows 45 to 48 PPM from the tap. When I last tested "bottled water" it came in around 5 PPM and distilled water showed "0" parts per million (zero) of dissolved solids consistently.

2) Test your water regularly! A simple $15 test unit can give you the clues necessary to ferret out any problems with your drinking/bathing water as these units operate on the conductivity of water, simply.

We know the actual conductive properties of water so anything that conducts electricity more (or less) than the base reading is a dissolved material you are eating or bathing in...

...Radioactive or not, it only matters at YOUR TAP!!!

Contact me anytime...

Here's to a great year...

Can you please send us the model and brand information on your failed filter unit?

Much appreciated...

Also...

Do you still have the unit???

Thanks in advance for your quick response.
