If NETC set their RADCON 5 level at 100 CPM like some continue to suggest, almost every station would be in RADCON 5 ALERT level all the time. Since the levels are not expected to drop below 100 CPM at these stations (most being EPA station) the RADCON alerts would not change and have no useful purpose at that point. This is why currently the N.O.R.M level
http://www.netc.com/Radiation-NORM.html used daily along with the previous 3-months data to aid in setting the RADCON levels, therefore allowing for the RADCON levels to climb higher and still be seen. Clearly this is a hard or impossible concept for people to understand and they resort to slander because of their lack of understanding.
I personally believe NETC (owner Harlan) should eliminate completely the whole RADCON level to end this ongoing confusion/debate. Then those people that look at the graphs (like myself) can continue to view the graphs and figure out by clicking each graph and comparing them to see which stations went up and which one did not... which for me is all the RADCON levels were doing in the first place.
