Back grounds been about 40 but the rain I tested went over 200 CPM the other day. This was the 1st rain in a long time. I have it on video . I have had my geiger a few years and was online station somewhere else( not here on this website ) after Fukushima a while but my computer went pluey and I never had the time to start over. I also was not thrilled with the shills they let blog in. I am overlooking Lake Shasta perfect monitor area if need be.
Thanks

Your Inspector is a great unit for testing around your area, but I would not leave it on 24/7 on your computer, but we do have a Free software program called wapp4netc.

Netc.com built a package that includes a Geiger counter and PI computer for less than half the cost of your Geiger counter. Look at it on Netc.com webpages Packages.

Greetings from Fremont. Elevated levels in rain could be due to Radon washout. Keep the sample for a week and re-test it to get a better idea of the half-life of the radionuclides present.
