Hi -
I just installed a GMC-320 a few days ago and my site's values are in the 25 to 37 range.
There is another site that is about 10 miles away that is reporting in the 200 or better range.
Below are the current reporting read outs from each station. The differences have been at a multiple of 10 since I added my site.

Why are they so different in the reported range and can someone tell me what the differences are?

Totally different equipment, one EPA radnet Gamma station and your is a Geiger counter. Netc.com says that you can only compare your station with your Radiation Background Level which is calculated over a three month timeframe.

What is an EPA radnet gamma station? Like physically, what is the sensor? A scintillator? A giant size Geiger tube?
