Every time I launch the app, I get a com port error message and upon checking, it is trying to use the com port assigned to my printer. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium. The error message says "Opened serial port COM4 Error: Modem Detected!" Device Manager shows COM3 assigned to Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port (COM3). Is there a way to direct the app to use COM3?

You can set the port number using wapp4netc,exe. It is a drop down menu.

I read this post and it reminded me of a similar issue I currently have with my XP machine running wapp4netc. I know how to manually change the port once wapp4netc is executed. I have my computer setup to automatically reboot and launch wapp4netc in the event of a power failure. However when I test a power failure scenario everything works except I still have to manually change to the correct COM port in wapp4netc.

Question: Is there a way to save the setting or modify the command line so that wapp4netc will launch with a predetermined COM port selected?

Hello HEY, thank you for all that you do!
