Was there a crash or outage at NETC? couldn't access site for some time, now a gap in my readings. Hope those few hours didn't kick me back into unreliable again since it still says I am after the comm port screw up that put me there. Looks like 5 hours of missing data.

It was down for everyone I believe for a few hours yesterday and i see a gap in readings for my site as well. Since my station on NETC is a GMC-200 I just turned on one of my Atomic Dave counters as a backup so i could still get local readings.

Not sure what the issue was but Harlan and his team did a good job of getting the site back on line quickly

Hi, I have that unit running outside feeding this site and RadMon thru a audio splitter, so I had readings still be sent there and have a good plot so I didn't lose anything in regards to any spikes, etc. When I first went to this site, the map was there, but no stations at all, I hit the refresh and now there was no page at all, "Page not found". Yes, if it was them that got it back up, didn't see any news about it. Didn't know if it was an internet issue in that area preventing us from getting to the site or it was hacked. Seen so many trashing email and postings about NETC, cannot believe what some will say about it when they really have no idea what they are talking about. Saying that the numbers shown are just random numbers put there and the site is just to make people panic and buy their geiger counters not realizing that the numbers on the map are ours coming from actual detectors. What a bunch of asswipes!

I have not spoke with Harlan recently but I do see there is a donate button on the main page. Maybe they were working on the site at that time, I am not sure.

I hope people who care actually donate something.

Good point King and well taken. I think sometimes people forget that this site is not receiving any public funding and only receives donations from chart members and such.

I will be sending over a donation on Friday, my next payday.

Donation made.

I encourage EVERYONE who visits the site and finds the data useful and important to their safety and well being to please donate. I am not sure what I would do if this site were to go away.
