 Not receiving RAD Alert messages

I have been a paying member since November and do not receive the RAD Alert messages. I assumed that I had to turn them on somewhere (User Control Panel?) but don't see where to do that. I do receive notifications for threads that I subscribe to at the same email address.

I will forward the problem to the TECH department to be corrected, sorry for the confusion.

I am still not receiving these alerts. Do the alerts come from the same gmail address as the messages that are sent when you subscribe to a thread?

I passed on your request just as I said. I will check on it, but have you looked here to verify that alerts happened for your area?

I guess it wasn't clear to me how wide the coverage area is for the alerts. My location was previously set to a remote town about 60 miles from San Francisco and 50 miles from Sacramento that has no monitoring station nearby. There were definitely alerts for the San Francisco and Sacramento locations which I never received. Would I have to set my RAM location area to the nearest town that has a monitoring station in order to receive alerts?

I am now visiting Arizona and have updated my location to Tucson and will see if I get alerts for that.

If a nuclear facility 60, or even 200 or 1000 miles away, had an accident I would certainly want to know about it.

Thank You.

I had also tried subscribing to the RAM Alert thread so I would get emails for all alerts, but I did not receive emails like I do for other subscribed threads.

I do not believe you can subscribe to that thread, it works directly with the RAM alert system.

It was added on the forum for other subscribers to view alerts for areas outside of their RAM alert area.

Looking at the NETC RAM subscription link below, I see currently it does not say how many miles from your location RAM alerts are made for you. You point out a good question, I do not know for sure myself so I will also forward this on and hope to either post an update here myself or maybe an ADMIN will first.
