If you just found out about the potential ELE (extinction level event) from Fukushima Japan remember that panic solves nothing. And depression does no one any good!

Be proactive, modify your life and let's get started NOW down the long road to fixing (or at least helping with) these problems! The lives you save could be you, your children and your grandchildren...

A couple of links to get you started...

RadChick is a great source of information. She knows these situations and has no political / industry affiliations (that we are aware of) with this VERY political situation. You should lookup Radchick, Dr. Dr Helen Caldicott and Dr. Chris Busby using your favorite search engine or youtube. Just a few (great) people to help you start to educate yourself on these situations.

RadChick (Christina Consolo) interview on Down The Rabbit Hole w/ Popeye (03-26-2015) The Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant Leak & It's Effects...

Here's a (recorded live) Senate hearing on nuclear safety directly from the floor in DC. (December 2014).

See this situation for what it is. You can't see it, taste it or know it's there without help.

Don't panic, stay safe and be aware...

Here's first a hand account from American Fukushima supervisor Carl Pillitter that was inside the reactor 1 turbine building during the quake...

... Amazing account, excellently told.

OK so your feet should be wet by now...

...scary stuff but we gotta have a plan to minimize risks right?

Want to know what to look for in your environment???

Here's Professor Tim Mousseau's National Biodiversity Teach (USC) Oct, 2014...

Here's some recently released footage from inside unit 1 (10/18/2011)....

https://youtu.be/0vby1jZcZ7g

...is this real?

I neeed some clarification on this one as the reactors (BWR Mark1) don't have split systems.

Radioactive as hell itself, wonder if any of these people are alive today...

...or is it a fake?

What do you mean by 'split'?
Something in the vid is in 2 sections, or there is 2 of something?

Yea... 2 circuits, notice that the water from containment leaves the primary space in the diagram below?

BWR (boiling water) Mark 1:

http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/nuclear-engi ... lec06b.pdf

=================

A PWR (pressurized water) has it all in containment and therefore it's a split system...

Here's a good animation of both types..

https://www.clpgroup.com/NuclearEnergy/ ... 4_1_2.aspx

=================

But...

Fuku is a BWR Mark 1 so the "bad water" leaves the building (like Elllllvis)...

This is just one reason Japan's sea emissions have been ongoing...

Hope this helps...
...and let's find a cure!!!

OK you said:

I neeed some clarification on this one as the reactors (BWR Mark1) don't have split systems.

So my question is:
What do you see in the video that seems not real or that you believe it to be a PWR?

Post subject:  Re: Newbies guide to Radiation from Japan...

Fuku is a BWR so most all the steam is radioactive, the hot water that leaves the reactor feeds into the turbine building.

So as you see this guy running around in this steam filled environment you have to wonder if this is a fake and if it's not is this guy still alive?
