Sorry if my question was already asked.
2 years ago I was monitoring RA in connection to Fukushima accident, and back then I saw a lot of stations in US.
Right now I don't see most of them.
Did they cease to exist or what happened? Or they are not displayed anymore because "Netc only displays Private stations and EPA Beta on page"?
If so, is there in the net any site that would display it all?
Thanks in advance for the answer!

A list of sites I know of is here:http://www.ccnr.org/radon_chart.html. There may be others as well. As for Netc, the number of inactive stations is roughly the same as the currently active ones. Almost all are private individuals with changing priorities and circumstances. I would think most such sites have a turnover.

NETC only shows the EPA beta stations to the members with the yearly $20 subscription. It has been this way for sometime.

The reason is two fold. One reason is bandwidth and second, it helps to avoid confusion with newbies. Too many don't understand why the EPA beta and gamma station numbers are different.

As a relative newbie, I have to ask, what is the difference?

The equipment they use for the beta readings are different than what they use for the gamma. As a result, you can only compare the EPA gamma readings with the EPA gamma readings to be fair. You know apples to apples, not apples with oranges.

The same concept holds true to our private stations and what model/type of geiger counter is being used along with and if it is located outside vs. inside. Even two like geiger counters, both outside will vary readings due to being used on an air purifier vs. not on an air purifier.

Netc.com has changed their main webpage, due to the EPA radnet has dropped collecting BETA radiation data. Gamma radiation is now on the main page and the private netc stations. DO NOT COMPARE GAMMA RADIATION STATIONS WITH THE PRIVATE NETC STATIONS, THE DATA IS DIFFERENT AND THE EQUIPMENT TO COLLECT THE DATA IS DIFFERENT TOO. Each station data is separate from any other station. The only thing that is common, is the Radcon levels 1 - 5. Radcon 1 and 2 is ok, 3 and 4 are levels very high within the 3 month range. Radcon-5 is alert condition, the radiation is above the top range and it is time to take precautions according your survival plans.
