Hi King sorry just read your post. I changed my filter just today about 1 hour ago.

8-) Ok, thanks. I just changed mine too now (about 7 days early) so you and I can try and be on the same schedule at least for a month to compare area readings between our units.

Replaced my filter today 3/12/2017. Also, i have had a tech problem for last month or so, the GMC300e had a cold solder connection on the USB port where data/battery input reside. Here I was thinking the PI was causing the problem - haven't completely ruled it out yet, but at least I was able to determine a contributing factor and quick fix the cold solder joints with soldering iron. Back up and running now...let's see for how long ;-)

:!: Looking at your recent chart, it appears that your unit is still having problems.

Do you have a backup geiger counter to try? I'm using the GMC-200 and thankfully it has been great for me. Since you live so close to me and your station is a great resource for me to validate my readings, I'm prepared to help assist you in the purchase of a GMC-200 if you need assistance. Currently the device is listed at $65 https://www.gqelectronicsllc.com/comers ... oduct=4527 and I'll give you $25 toward that purchase if you need it. You can either reply here or PM me, either way would be fine.

yes, been having all kinds of issues here. Network, the GMC USB port cold solder connection that failed...been through the wringer here...I think / hope I have it solved now. I bought a new wireless antenna that replaces the standard one that shipped with the PI. The new one extends the range of the antenna since it is a directional device. Signal now is consistently in the upper 70's out of 100 vs. the 50's I was getting before. hopefully that resolves the problem once and for all. Time shall tell. Appreciate the offer to help!

BTW, in case any are interested, this is the replacement antenna I went with which worked with the existing driver on the PI...no software install required....from Amazon about $13.....EDUP Wifi Adapter 300Mbps Wireless N Adapter 2.4GHz Wifi Usb with High Gain External Antenna for Windows 10/8.1/8/7/XP/Vista/Mac OS10.6-10.12- Installation Fast, Just 3 Minutes

Your welcome and thanks for the wireless USB tip for the PI. I have had my PI connected directly from almost day one because of reliability issues I was having with the signals connection.

It makes me smile when I see how well NETC works. Your station and mine, both independent outside radiation monitoring stations using the same equipment and type of setup work great. Considering we are almost 70 miles from each other, our stations both follow each other closely in the detection of radiation and the timing of it. Thank you again sir!

Here is a screen capture I took today of the NETC map showing your station in ALERT station and mine nearly in ALERT status: https://ibb.co/bw9YOS
