Hooking back up

I finally dug up my GC because I was seeing that there are super high readings coming from www.yourradiationthisweek.org but I cant get the ethernet cable from the raspberry thing to the computer to be seen. Not sure what to do now. I have a GMC-300E. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Do you see the link LED on the RPi come on when Ethernet is connected? It's on the main board in a row with the power and disk LEDs. Your PC may have a link LED also at the jack, or if not, it should show some information on an OS network adapater screen when it is active.
