Kansas City has been getting fried as well, setting new highs at the end of July. WTF? What can we do? Put me to work. I am tired of this, I will not stand by and let my children suffer any longer. I am done! |

Just an FYI in case something happens to me or I get a visit from the Men in Black. I am sending an email to the EPA asking for an explanation as to why KC is setting new record levels of gamma and beta radiation. My name is Kerry O'Toole and I live in Kansas City. |

First time in my short time here I've seen that many 5's. We just recently had a storm blow in from the Baja, Mexico area south to north and my station was going a little off it's norms for a few days. |

With the NSA fully funded by ALL of us we could all get a visit at any time. IMO... They had better bring some beer! rc |

server is an early warning radiation service that collects the data from each station and calculates the NORM background radiation level and sets alert levels called RADCONs to tell when the radiation is rising at the station, from its historical levels of radiation. |

Post subject: | Re: Nuclear Nightmare from WIPP-Check out Kansas City, MO |
Funny you should mention the NSA. Kansas City , MO has a new "friendly" neighbor. Check this out: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/22/us/us ... ef=us&_r=1 Nothing like a new nuclear munitions plant in your backyard for a little rise in background radiation... I'm guessing. For a mere $700 million dollars and 2,730 new employees, you too can have a disaster in your backyard just waiting to happen. I particularly loved the way that none of the local papers (that I know of) saw fit to publish on this now completed National Security Campus complete with new atomic goodies to escalate the arms race. Missourians had to read about this in the New York Times! So much for the "nuclear-free-world" we were promised. Not much you can do about it now that it is a done-deal. Thanks, Senators Claire McCaskill and Roy Blunt !!!! |
